Technical Project Manager

6 month contract, 20 hours per week, onsite in DTCWe are seeking a Technical Project Manager with strong experience in accounting and financial reporting systems to help drive the delivery of high-impact data and reporting solutions. This role sits at the intersection of finance, engineering, and product, requiring both technical fluency and the ability to translate business needs into actionable development work.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner closely with Accounting and Finance teams to understand reporting requirements, workflows, and pain pointsTranslate business needs into clear, well-defined technical requirements and user storiesCreate, prioritize, and manage tickets for the engineering team, ensuring clarity and completenessDrive project execution by coordinating across stakeholders and proactively removing blockersMaintain and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business prioritiesFacilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholdersTrack progress, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of reporting and data initiativesContinuously improve processes for requirement gathering, ticket quality, and delivery efficiencyMust-Have QualificationsProven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Project Manager supporting engineering teamsStrong ability to collaborate with Accounting/Finance teams and clearly understand reporting needsHands-on experience creating and managing tickets (e.g., Jira or similar tools)Demonstrated success driving projects forward in a cross-functional environmentPrior experience working as a PM for an accounting or financial reporting development teamStrong understanding of data, reporting systems, and financial workflowsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiencesPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with financial systems, data warehouses, or BI/reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI)Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsTechnical background or experience working closely with engineers on data-intensive systems
