Position OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on, execution-focused HR Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations across our U.S. business. This role is highly operational and detail-driven, with a strong emphasis on compliance, accuracy, responsiveness, and accountabilityThe ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, managing high volumes of transactional work while ensuring strict adherence to California labor laws and company policies.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Lifecycle & Data ManagementIndependently manage onboarding, offboarding, and all employee status changes (promotion, transfer, compensation changes, etc.)Ensure all employee documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with federal and California requirementsMaintain clean, audit-ready employee records at all timesTimekeeping & Payroll ExecutionOwn day-to-day timekeeping data review and validation, including:meal/rest break complianceovertime accuracyattendance irregularitiesWork closely with operations and payroll teams to resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerEnsure payroll inputs are accurate and delivered on time with minimal error toleranceBenefits AdministrationExecute benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations with high accuracyRespond to employee inquiries regarding benefits in a clear and timely mannerSupport benefits program administration and continuous improvementCompliance & Risk ControlEnsure strict compliance with California labor laws, including wage & hour regulationsProactively identify and flag compliance risks (e.g., timekeeping issues, documentation gaps)Support internal audits and compliance reviews when requiredHR Support & ExecutionProvide responsive, solutions-oriented HR support to store operations and internal stakeholdersHandle high-volume HR inquiries with professionalism and efficiencyExecute additional tasks and projects assigned by leadership without close supervisionQualificationsBachelor's degree required (HR or related field preferred)Minimum 1-2 years of HR operations experience (must be hands-on, not purely administrative exposure)Strong working knowledge of California labor laws, especially:meal & rest break complianceovertime ruleswage & hour requirementsExperience with HRIS systems required; ADP or Rippling preferredWhat We Are Looking For (Critical Traits)Strong execution ability - able to deliver accurate work under pressure with minimal supervisionHigh attention to detail - low tolerance for errors in payroll, compliance, and documentationStrong ownership mindset - takes responsibility and follows throughLogical and structured thinking - able to identify issues and propose solutionsHigh adaptability - comfortable in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous environmentHigh stress tolerance - able to handle workload peaks and urgent requestsWillingness to support extended hours when business needs requireComfortable working with cross-cultural and cross-time-zone teamsWork ArrangementRemote work until November 2026 due to office setupRequired to work onsite 5 days/week in Irvine, CA after office openingImportant NotesThis role requires a high level of accountability and responsivenessThis is not a purely administrative HR role "” candidates are expected to own execution and deliver resultsCandidates who are not comfortable with a fast-paced, high-demand environment may not be a fit
