Job Description: The Human Resources Coordinator supports day-to-day HR operations and serves as a key point of contact for employees. This role manages payroll administration, employee records, benefits coordination, and HR reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The position works closely with internal departments to maintain accurate records, support workforce initiatives, and ensure efficient HR processes.Wage:$21.00 - $24.00 per hourBenefits (after 90 days):Medical, dental, and vision insurance with competitive coverage401(k) plan with up to 5% employer matchPaid time off starting at approximately 10 days per year, increasing with tenure11 paid holidays annuallyHybrid work schedule: in-office Monday-Wednesday, remote Thursday-FridayKey Responsibilities:Payroll & Compensation: Process and audit payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, adjustments, and PTO accruals. Administer wage garnishments and support employee status and compensation updates.Benefits Administration: Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefit inquiries. Coordinate open enrollment and assist with benefit communication, documentation, and invoice processing.Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate personnel records and assist with regulatory filings such as EEO-1 and California Pay Data Reporting. Coordinate unemployment claims and support workers' compensation processes.Employee Records & HR Support: Maintain employee files, onboarding documentation, and HR correspondence. Provide guidance on company policies and procedures and respond to routine HR inquiries.HR Operations: Support HR reporting, assist with workforce data tracking, and help coordinate meetings, training sessions, and HR initiatives.Requirements:0-1 year of Human Resources experience or related training; equivalent education and experience considered.College degree preferred but not required.Strong Microsoft Excel skills highly preferred.Bilingual in Spanish or Japanese is a plus but not required.Work Environment:Primarily office-based with occasional local travel.The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
