Duration: 07 months contract Shift: Preferred schedule is 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with a strong need for punctuality. The team needs instruments ready by approximately 10:00 AM, so the worker must be onsite and reliable in the morning.Job Description:Responsible for operating and maintaining flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters, including instrument setup, quality control, monitoring runs, and routine maintenance.Designs and optimizes multiparameter panels for conventional and full-spectrum cytometry.Provides user training and support in a high-throughput shared lab environment while ensuring compliance with BSL-2+ safety standards.The ideal candidate will have hands-on flow cytometry experience, with strong preference for experience supporting cell sorting, cytometer startup/shutdown, instrument monitoring, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.This person should be comfortable working in a shared-resource or service-based lab environment where they are supporting scientists directly, resolving instrument issues, and helping users complete experiments successfully.The role includes manual/physical work, including handling cytometer waste up to approximately 25 pounds.Key Responsibilities:The worker will support flow cytometry operations, including:Cell sorting supportStarting up and shutting down cytometersMonitoring cell sorts during operationInstrument cleaning and routine maintenanceMonthly maintenance involving fluidics/PBS/saline systemsSupporting analyzer-only cytometersTroubleshooting clogs or instrument issuesHelping users complete experiments successfullyProactively checking in with scientists and lab usersRequired / Strongly Preferred Skills:Flow cytometry experienceCell sorting experienceExperience with analyzers and sortersFamiliarity with conventional and spectral cytometryBasic troubleshooting of cytometer issuesComfort supporting users in a shared-resource or service-based labStrong communication skillsAbility to work with scientists under time-sensitive situationsProactive, service-oriented mindsetTop Must Have Skill Sets:Flow Cytometer Operation (e.g., BD FACSAriaâ„¢ Fusions, BD FACSymphonyâ„¢ and Cytek Aurora): with emphasis on cell sorting set up and operation.Experience training users and working effectively in a dynamic shared lab environment while adhering to BSL-2+ safety standards.Multiparameter Panel Design experience (conventional and full-spectrum cytometry)About US Tech Solutions:US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
