Location: Penn Valley, PASchedule: Full-TimePay: $25/hourStart Date: ASAPOverview:The Noreen Cook Center for Early Childhood Education (NCCECE) at Har Zion Temple is seeking loving, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to join our full-time preschool faculty for the 2025-2026 school year.Our preschool is a warm and inclusive Jewish learning environment where we support the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual development of every child. As an Assistant Teacher, you will help nurture a love of learning through play-based discovery, creativity, and connection "” all while being a valued part of our collaborative teaching team.Responsibilities:Support lead teachers in the classroom with daily activities, routines, and supervisionHelp implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculumFoster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environmentBuild positive relationships with students, families, and fellow staffAssist with classroom setup, cleanup, materials preparation, and transitionsCommunicate with professionalism and warmth with families and colleaguesAttend school meetings, trainings, and occasional special eventsQualifications:Experience working with young children in a school or daycare settingPatience, flexibility, and a nurturing personalityMust be willing and able to work with toddlers ages 2 and underAbility to collaborate and follow direction from lead teachers and school administratorsCDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred - must meet state requirements as an assistant teacherFamiliarity with Jewish traditions and holidays is a plus, but not requiredWhy Join Us?The Noreen Cook Center is a nationally recognized synagogue preschool that values imagination, discovery, and spiritual growth.
