Senior/Lead Plumbing Designer - MEP Consulting Engineering?? San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid)We are seeking a Senior/Lead Plumbing Designer to join a highly technical MEP consulting team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a hands-on design role with leadership responsibility, focused on delivering complex plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects.This role is best suited for an engineer/designer who wants to stay deeply involved in design while taking ownership of project coordination, technical execution, and delivery quality.??? Key ResponsibilitiesDesign plumbing systems including:Domestic water systems (cold/hot water, booster systems, recirculation)Sanitary waste and vent systemsStorm drainage systemsNatural gas systems (as applicable)Develop SD, DD, and CD construction documents using RevitPerform plumbing calculations, equipment sizing, and system layout developmentCoordinate plumbing design with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teamsLead technical resolution of design issues during coordination phasesReview shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction administrationSupport site visits and field coordination as requiredAssist in maintaining internal QA/QC standards for deliverablesMentor junior designers and contribute to technical development of the team?? Qualifications5-10+ years of plumbing design experience in MEP consulting engineeringStrong experience in commercial, healthcare, high-rise, or institutional projectsProficiency in Revit and AutoCADStrong understanding of plumbing codes (UPC / CPC / NFPA as applicable)Experience producing construction documents and supporting construction administrationStrong coordination skills across multiple disciplines? Preferred ExperienceEIT or PE license (not required but strongly preferred)Healthcare project experience (hospitals, outpatient, surgical centers)High-rise residential or mixed-use developmentsExperience in large-scale BIM coordination environments??
