We're seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, and delivery of advanced automation systems. This role owns projects from specification through commissioning and support, providing technical leadership across PLC, HMI, robotics, and industrial network systems to help customers modernize and scale their operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement industrial control systems for custom equipment and production linesProgram and troubleshoot PLCs (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) with minimal oversightIntegrate and program industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or similar) within automated systemsDevelop advanced HMI and SCADA interfaces for system visibility and controlLead on-site commissioning, including I/O validation, robot bring-up, debug, tuning, and operator trainingCollaborate with mechanical and electrical teams on system integration, including robotics and motion systemsProduce and maintain accurate documentation (schematics, ladder diagrams, control narratives)What You Bring5+ years of experience in industrial automation, control system design, or machine integrationStrong PLC programming experience (Ladder Logic, Function Block, Structured Text)Hands-on experience integrating and commissioning industrial robotics in production environmentsWorking knowledge of HMI/SCADA platforms (FactoryTalk View, Ignition, WinCC)Experience designing and commissioning automated systems in manufacturing or industrial environmentsAbility to read and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and I/O listsNice to HaveExperience with motion control, servo systems, or vision integrationExposure to high-level languages (Python, SQL) or IIoT platformsFamiliarity with cloud-connected industrial solutions and smart manufacturing conceptsPMP or similar project management certification
