This expansion offers employees the opportunity to join a dynamic and purpose-driven environment, where they can contribute to meaningful projects while growing their careers in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.Position SummaryThe Senior HR Generalist plays a key role in managing and supporting a broad range of human resources functions, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, employee relations, and compliance. This position combines hands-on HR operations with a strategic mindset, ensuring that HR policies and practices effectively support business objectives while fostering a positive and compliant work environment.The role requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional capable of handling multiple priorities, advising managers on HR matters, leading HR initiatives, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The Senior HR Generalist will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts, helping to enhance HR processes, employee engagement, and overall organizational performance.Responsibilities • Develop, implement, communicate, monitor, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and technologies, aligning with UMNA's goals and objectives. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations and required reporting. • Oversee all tasks related to the recruiting and hiring process, including maintenance of the ATS platform and creation of offer letters. • Lead and support HR projects and initiatives as assigned driving process improvements and operational efficiency • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues. • Conduct workplace investigations, manage disciplinary actions, and termination procedures. • Manage OSHA compliance and workers' compensation claims and reporting. Competencies• Extensive knowledge of HR functional areas, processes, best practices, and employment laws and regulations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, effective relationships with all levels of the organization. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze HR metrics and provide insights and recommendations. • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify, recommend, and implement improvements to HR processes, policies, and procedures. • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. • Demonstrated ability in employee and labor relations. • Results-driven project management capabilities with a track record of successfully leading and completing initiatives. • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Requirements• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree desired. • 3-5 years of experience supporting a manufacturing workforce (salaried and hourly). • HR certification desired (PHR / SHRM-CP). • 5 years of experience in an HR operational role required. • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and technologies. • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Work Environment • Indoors, in an office environment, with temperature control. • No adverse environmental conditions expected. • Travel up to 10% of the time, with the potential for international travelPhysical Demands• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion.
