The is a hybrid opportunity with 2-days onsite in Irving, TX, Duluth/Suwanee, GA, Asburn, VA, or Overland Park, KS. Candidates MUST be local to one of the listed locations. This role is not open to C2C, OPT, or any Visa consideration. No vendor support of any kind allowed.Core Job Requirements5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or advanced business intelligence roles within a modern data stack environmentAdvanced proficiency in SQL with demonstrated experience building performant, well-modeled analytical datasetsHands-on experience with dbt for analytics-layer modeling, testing, and documentationExperience working with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake, including performance tuning and cost-aware designStrong understanding of analytics engineering best practices, including:Star and snowflake schemasIncremental modelsFact / dimension separationMedallion ArchitectureExperience working in a CI/CD-driven analytics environment, including version control, code review, and deployment pipelinesProven ability to partner closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into trusted analytical assetsBachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or equivalent practical experienceFinancial Operations & Reporting Domain Expertise (Required Emphasis)Proven experience supporting Financial Operations, FP&A, Accounting, or Finance Analytics functionsStrong knowledge of financial data domains, including:Financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisRevenue, expenses, and cost allocation methodologiesActuals vs. forecast vs. plan reportingFinancial close and reconciliation processesExperience building and maintaining financial reporting data models that serve as a single source of truth for finance teamsAbility to design and deliver executive-level dashboards and reporting to support:Finance leadership and FP&A teamsMonthly/quarterly business reviewsOperational performance tracking and cost optimizationExperience integrating and modeling data from financial systems (e.g., ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)Strong understanding of data accuracy, reconciliation, and auditability in financial reporting environmentsAbility to work with complex, sometimes incomplete financial data and establish trust through validation, controls, and documentationTechnical & Platform SkillsAdvanced SQL and data modeling expertisedbt (models, tests, macros, documentation, exposures)Snowflake (query optimization, warehouse usage patterns, role-based access awareness)Experience integrating data from SaaS and financial systems using ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran, Stitch, etc.)Familiarity with metadata management, data quality frameworks, and data lineageProfessional & Communication SkillsStrong business acumen with the ability to translate data into financial and operational insightsClear, concise communicator capable of working with:Finance leadership (FP&A, Accounting, Operations)Data engineering and platform teamsAbility to write clear, durable documentation for financial models, metrics, and assumptionsHigh attention to detail with a strong bias toward accuracy, consistency, and auditabilityComfortable operating in a federated enterprise environment with multiple upstream financial and operational systems
