Our team is made up of passionate professionals who thrive in a collaborative, team based environment.We are currently seeking a Commercial Insurance Senior Account Executive who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and knowledgeable in commercial lines insurance. Account Executive (AE) is responsible for managing and servicing assigned commercial insurance clients. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service, retention, and account growth through proactive communication, technical expertise, and strong carrier relationships. The AE works closely with producers, carriers, and internal team members to deliver tailored risk management and insurance solutions that support clients' evolving business needsThis position plays a key role in client retention and satisfaction through the relationships you will build with the clients, partner insurance carriers and your teammates.Account Executive Responsibilities:Client Service & Relationship ManagementServe as the primary contact for assigned commercial accounts.Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular account reviews.Respond promptly to client inquiries.Educate clients on coverage options, exclusions, and risk management strategies.· Handles complex coverage conversations.· Manages difficult service or claim escalations.· Conduct account review and stewardship meetings with client. Account Renewal ProcessManage and oversee the full renewal lifecycle.Conduct renewal strategy meetings with clients and producers.Develop and execute renewal strategy.Negotiate terms with underwriters.Coordinate and conduct renewal meetings. Marketing & Carrier RelationsMarket new and renewal business to appropriate carriers to secure competitive and comprehensive coverage options.· Prepare presentations, collaborate with Producers and attend new business meetings when requested.Build and maintain strong working relationships with carrier underwriters.Negotiate pricing, coverage terms, and conditions to meet client needs.Cross-Selling & Account GrowthIdentify coverage gaps and cross-sell additional lines of coverage when appropriate.Support producers in identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts.Contribute to agency revenue growth through strong retention and account rounding.Accountable for overall client satisfaction · Ultimate back up for all client service duties including those of the Sr Account Manager and Account CoordinatorAgency Standards:· Review and update EPIC activities daily· Provide detailed documentation of all transactions, emails and conversations in EPIC· Follow procedures· Meet deadlines· Respond to internal and external requests by end of day and set expectations · Work product is accurate, complete, properly formatted and professional· All written communications use proper formatting, punctuation, spelling and tone· Back-up and support all department team members· Participate in carrier meetings as needed, stay up to date with partner carrier information and carrier markets· Update required scorecards for review in weekly department Level 10 meeting· Attend and participate in Level 10 meetings · Contribute to and own your department and individual rocks· Participate in agency quarterly community service· Participate in quarterly check in meeting· Participate in annual review· Demonstrate the BakerHopp Insurance Group Core Purpose and Core Values· Act as coach and mentor to all team members· Achieve personal and professional development annual goal· Keep workspace neat and organized · Microsoft Outlook - maintain · Maintain insurance license (if applicable)· Assist in training when neededQualifications: · 10+ years of commercial insurance experience within an independent agency · Strong understanding of commercial coverages · Active Property and Casualty insurance license· Proficiency with agency management systems (Applied EPIC preferred) · Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Proficient in Excel and Word
