Requisition Details: •Job Title: Systems Architect (Athena Platform & Ambulatory)•Project Duration: Through Dec. 31st 2026Location :- 100% Remote Role SummarySupports Client 's ambulatory application portfolioPrimary focus on athenahealth platformLeads discovery and high-level solution design for ambulatory initiativesSupports new implementations, practice acquisitions, and conversions to athenaPartners with clinical, business, and technical stakeholdersKey ResponsibilitiesConduct discovery for ambulatory projects and initiativesDesign high-level architectural solutions for athena implementationsLead solution design for practice acquisitions and system conversionsCoordinate with domain owners, business partners, and technical teamsCreate architecture documentation and data flow diagramsProvide guidance on athena platform capabilities and best practicesRequired Skills athena Platform & AmbulatoryStrong knowledge of athena platform architecture and foundational buildDeep understanding of ambulatory workflowsExperience with athena Clinicals build and maintenanceImplementation experience in ambulatory environmentsExperience building APIs within athenaKnowledge of HL7 integrations (ADT, DFT, ORM, ORU, MDM)Experience with SFTP integrationsSQL experience including Dataview reportingPreferred SkillsGeneral knowledge of athena Collector and athena PortalUnderstanding of practice management workflowsExperience with portal administration toolsExperience with third-party ambulatory applications or marketplace appsExperience creating data flow diagramsExperience using Lucidchart or VisioExperience supporting large organizations with multiple tablespacesExperience with other ambulatory EHRs (eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Cerner ambulatory, etc.)Experience Requirements8+ years overall ambulatory EHR experience5-6+ years hands-on athena experience strongly preferredSeasoned systems architect backgroundEducationBachelor's degree required (related field)Advanced degree preferred
