Company DescriptionStealth Mode Company is an early-stage robotics and AI startup building intelligent robotic systems for real-world physical work. The company is developing robot learning systems that combine teleoperation, human demonstration data, perception, and control to help robots perform useful manipulation tasks in complex operational environments. We are a small, fast-moving team working at the intersection of robotics, AI, data collection, and physical automation. Our systems are designed for practical deployment in high-volume environments where reliability, safety, and repeatability matter. We are looking for hands-on operators who are excited to help train the next generation of robotic systems.Role DescriptionThis is a temporary, on-site contract position located in the Boston, MA area for a Robotics Teleoperation & Data Collection OperatorIn this role, you will operate robotic systems, grippers, robot arms, or teleoperation interfaces to collect high-quality demonstration data for robot learning and VLA training. You will work directly with robotics engineers during structured data collection sessions, helping perform repeated manipulation tasks such as grasping, moving, sorting, placing, stacking, staging, and resetting objects. The role requires strong hand-eye coordination, focus, attention to detail, and comfort performing repetitive precision tasks for multi-hour sessions with scheduled breaks. You will also help identify edge cases, failed grasps, awkward motions, interface issues, and other observations that can improve system performance. This is not a software engineering role, though technical curiosity is a plus. It is a hands-on robot operations role for someone who enjoys working with physical systems, controls, robotics hardware, and real-world data collection.QualificationsStrong hand-eye coordination and comfort using joysticks, game controllers, VR systems, robot interfaces, simulators, or other precision control toolsAbility to perform repetitive hand-control or teleoperation tasks for multi-hour sessions with scheduled breaksHigh attention to detail and ability to follow engineer-defined protocols, task scripts, and safety procedures exactlyComfort working around robotics hardware, moving equipment, cameras, sensors, grippers, and robot armsClear communication skills and ability to report bugs, failed grasps, edge cases, unusual robot behavior, fatigue, or unclear instructionsInterest in robotics, AI, automation, physical AI, robot learning, or human-in-the-loop data collectionExperience with robot teleoperation, robotics labs, drones, VR/game-controller interfaces, AV data collection, QA testing, field robotics, mechatronics, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or technical operations is a plusExperience with robot arms, grippers, ROS, Python, Linux, cameras, calibration, or hardware debugging is a plusExperience collecting data for machine learning, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, or robotics datasets is a plusExperience in commercial kitchens, dish handling, warehouse sorting, assembly, fulfillment, or other high-throughput physical environments is a plus, but not requiredAbility to work professionally on-site in the Boston/Cambridge area, including potential customer or pilot-site environments
