VA VE Engineer

VA VE EngineerLocation - Dearborn MiFulltime /contrat role Job Description - • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in automotive product development or VAVE/cost engineering. • Strong understanding of automotive systems: Powertrain (engine, Transmission, driveline and clutch etc) • Experience with manufacturing processes (injection molding, part assembly). • Knowledge of cost breakdown and should-cost analysis. • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX) and PLM systems. • Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers. • Familiarity with Ford systems and processes (GPDS, WERS, AIMS). • Strong supplier collaboration and negotiation skills. • Experience in teardown benchmarking and cost workshops. • Analytical thinking and problem-solving • Cost optimization mindset • Cross-functional collaboration • Communication and stakeholder management
