Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse - GI Lab. This is a 03+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities:Provide pre-procedural assessment, preparation, and education for patients undergoing endoscopic proceduresAssist physicians during procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, and bronchoscopiesAdminister moderate sedation and monitor patients during procedures under physician directionMonitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, and level of consciousness throughout proceduresProvide post-procedural care and monitoring until appropriate discharge criteria are metManage patient airways and respond to complications or emergency situationsDocument all care accurately in the EMRMaintain equipment, supplies, and inventory specific to the GI LabParticipate in on-call rotation as required (weekends and weeknights)Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput.Shift: 8-hour Day Shift (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)Duration: 13 weeks (05/18/2026 - 08/15/2026)Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekOvertime: Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier); Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)On-Call: Yes (must be able to return to the hospital within one hour of being called)Key Requirements and Technology Experience:Minimum 2 years of recent experience within GI Lab / Endoscopy specialtyActive RN license in the State of Georgia or valid eNLC compact multi-state licenseAHA BLS certificationAHA ACLS certificationExperience supporting endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, and bronchoscopiesAbility to return to the hospital within one hour of being called for on-call shiftsEducation: Graduate of an accredited school of nursingLicensure/Certification:-Active RN license in the State of Georgia or valid eNLC compact multi-state license - requiredAHA BLS (Basic Life Support) - requiredAHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - requiredModerate sedation competency - requiredExperience:-Minimum 2 years of recent experience within GI Lab / Endoscopy specialty - requiredExperience with colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, and bronchoscopiesExperience with moderate sedation administration and monitoringSkills:-Strong knowledge of endoscopic procedures and periprocedural nursing careProficiency in moderate sedation and airway managementExcellent patient assessment and critical thinking abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced procedural environmentStrong communication and collaboration skillsAdditional Information:- Candidate Type: Travel OnlyLocal candidates within 50 miles will not be consideredLocation: Atlanta, Georgia (specific facility details provided upon interview)Department: GI Lab / Endoscopy LabProcedures: Colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, BronchoscopiesService Lines: Gastroenterology & Pulmonology, including colorectal and bariatric surgeryOur client is a leading Healthcare Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
