Payroll & Benefits Manager - 5 DAYS A WEEK ONSITE.Duvera's client located in West Houston is seeking a hands-on Payroll & Benefits Manager to own end-to-end payroll and benefits administration in a growing organization with a complex, non-exempt workforce. This role is responsible for accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while leading the implementation and optimization of the UKG Ready payroll system as the internal subject matter expert.This position serves as the primary liaison with benefits brokers and vendors, oversees enrollments and compliance, and supports business growth through strong payroll governance, automation, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end payroll processing across multiple pay schedules with 100% accuracy and complianceOwn UKG Ready payroll implementation, configuration, testing, and go-live supportManage payroll tax filings, withholdings, remittances, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s)Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepanciesAdminister employee benefits programs in partnership with brokers and vendorsLead open enrollment, benefits education, and employee supportEnsure compliance with payroll, tax, and benefits regulations (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA)Establish and maintain state and local tax accounts as the workforce expandsQualificationsBachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Business, or related field5+ years of hands-on payroll experience2+ years of UKG payroll system experienceProven UKG payroll implementation experienceExperience supporting a complex, non-exempt workforceThis is a high-impact, ownership-driven role ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable systems, improving processes, and delivering an exceptional employee experience.They're offering a very competitive base salary plus bonus and a full array of benefits!
