Senior Project Manager - Robotics & Automation Implementation (Contract-to-Hire)Location: Atlanta, GAAbout the CompanyWe are partnering with a global leader in AI-driven automation and robotics solutions that enable large-scale fulfillment and distribution operations to run more efficiently and intelligently. Their platform integrates software, robotics, and real-time orchestration to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, scalability, and operational performance across global customer environments.About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale warehouse automation and system implementation programs. This role sits at the intersection of supply chain, software, and robotics, and plays a critical part in ensuring successful execution of complex, customer-facing deployments.This is not a traditional PM role. Think of it as an "air traffic controller" for multi-layered implementation programs "” coordinating across cross-functional teams to drive projects from planning through deployment and stabilization.This role is ideal for someone with 7-10 years of experience who has operated in complex environments and is ready to take on broader ownership in high-impact programs.What You'll DoPre-Sales PhaseUnderstand customer requirements and project objectives.Define implementation strategies considering geography, integration needs, and delivery constraints.Prepare high-level project timelines.Collaborate with proposal teams to estimate project effort and service requirements.Project Planning PhaseEnsure smooth project transition from Sales to Delivery.Analyze the contract, define scope, key deliverables, and major milestones.Establish project charter, communication channels, and meeting cadence.Coordinate with customer and internal cross-functional teams to conduct gap analysis.Define success criteria (timelines, KPIs, budget) and establish baselines.Ensure adherence to standard project processes, SOPs, and governance frameworks.Project Delivery PhaseMonitor progress against timelines, budget, and milestone commitments.Maintain seamless communication between customer and stakeholders.Ensure timely completion of customer responsibilities (site readiness, infrastructure, resources).Collaborate with supply chain teams for on-time hardware delivery.Track testing progress, highlight delays, and drive issue resolution.Log, track, and escalate issues/bugs through JIRA and structured issue management processes.Project Execution PhaseManage cross-functional resource allocation and travel planning.Validate customer site readiness and ensure readiness before deployment.Oversee software readiness, deployment, and testing activities.Coordinate integration testing across regions, customer teams, and HQ.Set up and lead war rooms when required.Support UAT planning, execution, and KPI monitoring for ramp-up.Assist in closing NPD tickets and project handover to Client Services.Drive creation of handover documentation, sign-offs, and project closure reports on Confluence.What We're Looking For7-10 years of experience in Project or Program ManagementStrong project management experience in industries such as warehousing, supply chain, or logistics.Experience leading or contributing to client-facing implementation projects involving complex systems or integrationsExposure to large-scale programs (typically $1M-$5M+), with ownership of key workstreams or delivery milestonesExposure to automation, robotics, or system implementations is a strong plusProven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and client teamsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsPMP or equivalent certification preferredBachelor's degree in engineering or a related fieldWork Environment & ExpectationsTravel: Up to ~60% (domestic and international)Ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams, including regular overlap with India-based teamsWhy Join?Opportunity to work on high-impact, large-scale automation and transformation programsExposure to cutting-edge robotics and supply chain innovationHigh visibility and cross-functional collaborationClear pathway to full-time conversion (6-9 months)Opportunity to grow into larger program ownership over time
