Electrical Test Technician

Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Test Technician for a full-time direct hire and onsite role in Aurora, OH. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for implementing appropriate test methods, utilizing necessary test equipment, implementing test procedures and software, and providing a lead role in the testing of newly developed products and standard production testing. Qualified candidates will have 1+ years in electrical testing, which must include working with high voltage of 480V and up.Pay Range: $27-33 per hour; plus employer paid benefits; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factorsThis is a great opportunity to join a mid-size and continually growing employer that is a leader in their industry! Fully employer paid medical and dental benefits are included!Electrical Test Technician job responsibilities include:Inspection and testing of electrical/electronic power equipment, transformers, and circuit breakersTroubleshooting of AC and DC power and control circuits 480V to 600VPerform occasional repairs of control, power and fiber optic assembly, crimping and routingProgramming electronic devices, interfacing with computers and programs on computersCompleting test reports and documentation using a computer, keyboard, and paperwork.Manipulating objects, tools and controlsIncludes standing for extended periods of time, as well as reaching, bending and kneelingQUALIFICATIONS:Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or 2 years minimum experience in the power industry1+ years in electrical technician, testing, or repair experienceProven experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing AC and DC power and control circuits operating at 480V-600V in an industrial or commercial environment.Proficient with Voltmeter and Current meterRead and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawingsExperience using hand toolsProficient with Voltmeter and current meterExperience with use and maintenance of electrical PPEExperience with Lock-out/Tag-out and other standard electrical safety proceduresComputer experience; Excel, Word, file manipulationExperience with electrical parts assembly and/or wiring preferredElectrical troubleshooting of electrical components and electronicsUse of measurement toolsDemonstrated oral and written communication skills.If you are interested in this onsite Electrical Technician job in the Cleveland or Akron area, please click APPLY NOW.
