HVAC Project ManagerLocation: Garden City, NYSalary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 (commensurate with experience)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing multiple small-to-mid-size HVAC projects while serving as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts. The ideal candidate is technically strong, highly organized, and comfortable engineering practical solutions in the field while maintaining excellent customer relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesManage multiple concurrent HVAC projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standardsOversee projects including service upgrades, retrofits, tenant fit-outs, and system replacementsServe as the primary liaison for assigned customer accounts, maintaining strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisorHandle all customer communications, including scope clarification, progress updates, issue resolution, and change order discussionsReview project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate executionEngineer and troubleshoot HVAC solutions in the field, working closely with field supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and vendorsCoordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project schedulesPrepare and manage project budgets, track costs, approve invoices, and forecast financial performanceIdentify and manage change orders, including pricing, documentation, and client approvalConduct job site visits to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and company standardsCollaborate with estimating, engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and executionSupport business development efforts by identifying upsell opportunities within existing accountsEnsure all project documentation, closeout packages, and warranties are completed accurately and on timeQualificationsMinimum 5-10 years of experience in HVAC project management, preferably with a mechanical contractorStrong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and field operationsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience managing customer accounts and maintaining long-term client relationshipsAbility to engineer practical, cost-effective solutions in the fieldStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with project management software and Microsoft OfficeValid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as neededCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary range of $150,000 - $180,000, based on experienceCompany pays a generous portion of health insurance401(k) with company matchProfit-sharing programLong-term growth opportunity with a stable and reputable HVAC company
