We're hiring Telecommunications Installers at two levels (Installer I and Installer II) to support installation, maintenance, and servicing of telecom equipment in the field.Level difference (at-a-glance):Installer I (Entry-Level): Focuses on basic tasks and non-complex equipment under close supervision of a Lead Installer; escalates complex issues.Installer II (Mid-Level): Handles a broader scope including testing/troubleshooting fiber/copper, interpreting drawings/specs, and may train junior installers; still works under supervision for more complex work.What You'll Do (Both levels)Perform cable installation, termination, labeling, and lacing to industry standardsMount racks, frames, shelves and ensure secure, correct installationRead and stay current on installation documentationAdd/remove non-powered equipment/hardwareInventory job-related materialsAdditional Responsibilities "” Installer IITest and troubleshoot fiber/copper installationsPerform verification/continuity testingInterpret drawings, plans, and specificationsInterpret job plan/scope; support retrofits and upgradesDiscuss media selection and implementation implicationsMake recommendations based on codes, standards, and best practicesMay provide training to less experienced installers (as needed)Travel / Shift Requirements (Both Levels)Must be available to travel 50%-75%Travel may include overnight stays 1-2 weeks at a time, including weekendsEarly morning shifts; occasional evening shifts; infrequent weekend workReliable transportation required; able to transport minor tools to work locationsPhysical Requirements (Both Levels)Lift 50 lbs minimum; up to 100 lbs occasionallyWork on ladders and in confined spacesWork safely around electrical wires and ESD productsFine motor skills/manual dexterity for tools and small componentsAbility to stoop, kneel, bend, squat, crawl, push, pullSkills & QualificationsRequired (Both Levels)High School Diploma or equivalentComplete "Basic Installation" training or equivalent On the Job TrainingCompletion of Safety, Business Code of Conduct, QA, and ESD trainingFamiliarity with standards: AT&T TP-76300 / 76409, Telcordia GR1275, Verizon IP72202Basic network product knowledge (Installer II: moderate knowledge expected)Proficiency with computers/tablets and MS OfficeStrong attention to detail, communication, and troubleshootingValid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insuranceExperienceInstaller I: Entry-level; proficiency in relevant Network Elements (1-4) with management assessment/approval of Level I skill levelInstaller II: Minimum 3 years field service (or equivalent combination), OR progression via Installer Academy; management assessment/approval of Level II skills; proficiency in relevant Network Elements (1-4)Preferred (Both Levels)2 years electronics training from technical trade school or military
