Role: Product Engineering Manager - SoftgoodsLocation: Boulder, CO (Onsite)Contract - C2C/W2/1099Role Overview:Lead cross-functional development of Soft-goods products from concept through prototype completion. Own build execution, schedules, material readiness, vendor coordination, and risk management to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. Operate at the intersection of engineering, operations, and supply chain in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Build & Development ExecutionOwn development schedules, build matrices, BOMs, and entry/exit criteriaEnsure readiness of materials, tooling, documentation, and resourcesDrive timely execution of prototype and development buildsCross-Functional CoordinationLead regular project reviews with PD, DE, Test, Operations, Quality, and Supply ChainAlign stakeholders on scope, milestones, risks, and deliverablesMaterials & Supply ChainTrack sourcing, lead times, MIH/TIH statusEnsure material availability for buildsManage development inventory and consumablesVendor & Financial ManagementManage vendor quotes, POs, invoicing, and cost trackingAct as primary liaison between engineering and manufacturing partnersPrototype LogisticsOversee shipment tracking, serial number management, and packaging readinessIssue & Risk ManagementDrive resolution of engineering, quality, and supply chain issuesEscalate risks and align mitigation plansMaintain clear documentation of decisions and statusOEM & Facility CoordinationAlign execution with OEM partnersResolve facility-related build issues and ensure infrastructure readinessInventory & ComplianceEnsure secure handling, storage, and disposal of materialsQualifications:RequiredBachelor's degree or equivalent experience5-8 years in program/project managementExperience delivering complex consumer product development programsPreferredBackground in softgoods (textiles, sewn assemblies)Experience with cross-functional engineering teamsFamiliarity with EVT/DVT/PVT build phasesExperience with global OEMs and vendorsCore CompetenciesProgram execution and ownershipCross-functional leadershipSupply chain and material planningVendor and cost managementRisk and issue resolution
