Due to the high number of applicants they will be unable to respondProject EngineerLocation: Hayward, CA (servicing various sites across the Greater Bay Area)Industry Focus: Institutional Education Construction ProjectsEmployment Type: Full-timeOverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support ground-up and modernization institutional education projects across the Greater Bay Area. Based out of the Hayward office, this role provides critical administrative and technical support throughout all phases of construction, from bidding and documentation to project closeout.Must HavesA minimum of 2yrs' of experience in a Project Engineering roleAbility to track and manage RFIs, submittals, and related documentation to meet tight deadlinesProficiency using Procore or equivalent construction management platformsUnderstanding of subcontractor and owner contract documentation, including change ordersAbility to support construction bidding processes, including plan distribution and bid recapsCompetence in preparing closeout packages, notice of completion, and archiving project filesA Driving License and reliable transportation to travel to various project sites as neededNice to HavesExperience delivering institutional education projects from start to finishPrior experience with either DSA or OSHPD regulated projectsFamiliarity with prevailing wage documentation and compliance workflowsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldExperience coordinating with accounting teams on owner billing and cost reportingExposure to commercial or industrial projects in addition to institutional workResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive administrative and documentation support to assigned Project ManagersProcess subcontractor agreements, POs, work orders, and change orders in Procore within 48 hoursProcess owner contracts, change order proposals, and final change orders as requiredReceive and log executed subcontract documents and upload to Procore within 24 hoursPrepare and track RFIs and submittals in accordance with project schedules and deadlinesDraft and issue professional correspondence as needed or directedSupport bidding processes including document preparation, outreach, and trackingMaintain organized and up-to-date project files throughout the project lifecycleProvide field teams with current subcontractor and project informationPrepare project closeout documents and notice of completion within 30 days of project wrap-upLabel and organize field/office files and prepare for archivingCoordinate and schedule project start-up and close-out meetingsGenerate cost reports and assist with monthly financial reportingAttend weekly project meetings and document outcomes as neededCollaborate with the Accounting team on billing cycles and resolve related issues
