This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, highly technical cleanroom environment where quality, precision, and continuous improvement are critical.If you thrive in semiconductor or analytical lab environments and enjoy leading teams while driving operational excellence, this is a strong opportunity to step into a high-impact role.PERKS & BENEFITSCompetitive salary range: $120,000 - $160,000, plus full benefits package and potential bonus eligibilityWork in a cutting-edge analytical lab supporting advanced semiconductor materialsHigh visibility leadership role within QC operationsStrong focus on innovation, quality, and continuous improvementOpportunity to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and customer-facing teamsCareer growth in a globally recognized materials science organizationWHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGQuality, Safety & QEHSS LeadershipPromote a strong safety culture aligned with QEHSS standards (Quality, Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability)Ensure compliance with ISO standards including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to GLP and safety requirementsIdentify and resolve EH&S issues in collaboration with cross-functional teamsAnalytical Operations & Equipment OwnershipOversee daily operations of QC analytical laboratories supporting photoresist productionEnsure uptime, reliability, and performance of analytical and metrology equipmentLead response to equipment downtime and support business continuity planningSupport method validation, tool qualification, and analytical capability expansionOperational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementDrive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven decision-makingMonitor and improve KPIs including cycle time, tool utilization, and quality metricsImplement Lean methodologies, SPC/SQC, and best practices to improve efficiency and product qualityProject Execution & Technical LeadershipLead analytical projects including method development, validation, and process improvementsEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality and cost expectationsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop engineers and laboratory staffFoster a collaborative, high-performance, and accountability-driven team cultureSupport training programs to ensure compliance with SOPs and operational standardsCross-Functional Collaboration & Customer FocusPartner with manufacturing, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure product quality requirements are metMaintain strong awareness of customer needs and support evolving semiconductor technologiesProblem Solving & Risk MitigationApply structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DOE, fishbone analysis)Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure consistent product performanceWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLEBachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field2+ years of leadership experience in a cleanroom, semiconductor, or analytical laboratory environmentStrong understanding of analytical chemistry, photoresist materials, and process control methodologies (SPC/SQC)Experience in ISO-certified environments (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) with strong adherence to GLP and safety standardsFamiliarity with analytical techniques such as trace metals, surface analysis, and defect characterizationExperience with JMP, LIMS, and data analysis tools; systems integration experience is a plusStrong experience managing KPIs, budgets, and resource planning in a lab or manufacturing environmentStrong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills across cross-functional teamsProven ability to operate in a results-driven, customer-focused environment aligned with quality and innovationABOUT USTPD is a leading workforce solutions provider with a mission to help individuals succeed by providing access to opportunities in jobs, careers, and professional development.
