Integration Engineer

General Description:This position is responsible for performing a number of key technical and analytic functions. The Integration Engineer will proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze business needs with a focus on engineering technical solutions through an Integration Engine. The position requires the ability to work independently with users and vendor staff, engage in team activities and discussions, and the ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.Duties and Responsibilities: Analysis of business needs and requirements Identification of technical solution alternatives to meet requirements Troubleshooting inbound and outbound data interfaces Development of technical solutions using Java Script Design and set up databases Engineering/development of Mirth Connect channels to meet requirements Recommend business process and technical improvements Maintain knowledge and compliance with SHIN-NY specifications Provide an analytical assessment of 'current state' technical functions and recommend future 'desired state' Participate in projects as requested Collaborate with other departments and members of the HEALTHeLINK Team as needed Other duties as assignedKnowledge and Skill Requirements:Demonstrated analysis and design skillsAbility to think analytically and be a problem solverExperience with Mirth Connect and channel development or similar integration engine a mustKnowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, and JavaScriptExperience in HL7 and data transmission methods (VPN, Web Services, FHIR)Understanding of healthcare technologies Exhibits a professional demeanorUnderstands technology standards and architecture principlesAbility to present ideas in a concise and focused mannerAbility to engage and participate with other team membersEnsure compliance with standardsDemonstrated ability to consistently and reliably perform duties in a timely fashionSelf-starter requiring limited supervision for the planning and execution of daily duties and responsibilitiesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Software Ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines and company goalsExperience and Education: Associate degree or higher preferred1 year of technical interface experience desiredPhysical Requirements:The physical demands are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions of this job.
