Cisco Network Engineer

Our client, a leader in banking & financial services, is looking to hire a Cisco Network Engineer. This role is hybrid onsite 3x per week in Chandler, AZ.This job is an 18-month W2 contract role with benefits!As a Cisco Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the network design, architecture, and configuration of a new data center's network supporting hundreds of company applications. The team is looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience designing and building large-scale data centers from scratch!What You'll Be Doing:Install, migrate, configure, decommission, and build Cisco Nexus switches,building data center networks from the ground upMigrate legacy OSPF routing protocols to BGP, supporting the build of a new data centerEnable Layer 2 network extension across multiple global sites using VXLANReview and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Network Engineering challenges, supporting initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planningRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of Network Engineering experience, primarily working across large enterprise environments5+ years of experience with Cisco Nexus configuration, with recent experience in routing and switching, including VXLAN overlay networking5+ years of experience with BGP, OSPF, and RIP IP routing protocols5+ years of experience designing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutionsDesired Skills & ExperienceAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in related fieldUnderstanding of Layer 2 switching protocols: Spanning Tree, Trunking, EtherChannelExperience configuring Arista Routers/Switches as well as Python/Ansible/GitHub a plusStrong understanding of QoS configurations, MLAG, EVPN, CVP, Multicast, HSRP, CBWFQ, DSCP, NAT/SNAT, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and DNS/domain servicesCCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certifications highly valued!Motion Recruitment Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
