Scheduling Analyst

TITLE: Scheduling & Inventory AnalystLOCATION: Houston, TXTYPE: Contract (1 year)RATE: $39.60 per hour, DOEOur client is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling & Inventory Analyst to support the accuracy and integrity of product movement and inventory data within our ERP system (SAP S/4). This role plays a critical part in ensuring that scheduled transactions are accurately reflected in financial and operational records.You will work cross-functionally with Scheduling, Trading, Accounting, and Trade Support teams to resolve discrepancies, analyze inventory activity, and support month-end close processes. This is a fast-paced, analytical role ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving and data accuracy.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure accurate recording of product movements and inventory transactions in SAP S/4 in alignment with accounting standardsMonitor and analyze inventory activity (builds/draws) using SAP reports throughout the monthInvestigate and resolve discrepancies related to product movements, system errors, and transaction mismatchesSupport month-end close activities, including manual accruals and data validationPartner with Scheduling, Trading, and Accounting teams to ensure trades and positions are accurately reflected in system recordsReview and resolve complex discrepancy issues (DEW requests) escalated by internal stakeholdersCollaborate with Trade Support to troubleshoot nomination and inventory-related system issuesPrepare reports and summaries of reconciliation findings for managementIdentify trends or recurring discrepancies and recommend process improvementsServe as a backup reviewer for discrepancy workflows, as neededAssist in developing more efficient and accurate scheduling and reconciliation processesREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field5+ years of experience in a similar analytical, operations, or reconciliation roleStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsProven analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working with SAP S/4, particularly with inventory or financial reportingBackground in oil & gas scheduling, trading, or operationsStrong understanding of inventory reconciliation or volumetric accountingExcellent communication and collaboration skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detailSelf-motivated with a team-oriented mindset and strong internal customer focus
