We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of GAAP, hands-on month-end close experience, and a background in financial analysis. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting business decision-making through analysis and insights.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify variances, trends, and discrepancies.Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis to support management reporting and strategic planning.Assist with preparation of internal and external financial reports.Support audits by preparing requested schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.Maintain and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to provide insight into financial performance.Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial projects as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior accountant or staff accountant role.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.Proven experience managing or supporting the month-end close process.Experience performing financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and reporting.Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills:Experience with reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.Ability to communicate financial information clearly to leadership and business partners.Process improvement mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.The salary range for this position is $30 to $39/hour, plus bonus. Benefits are available including medical, vision, and dental, and life and disability insurance.
