They would be responsible for managing and optimizing supply chain operations, including planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics. This role ensures smooth and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customers while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.This professional will need to be innovative and proactive with new processes, including the implementation of a new ERP system and scheduling methodologies, and will drive the excellence in all areas of supply chain management, including the improvement of on time delivery. They will be comfortable working within a discreet manufacturing environment.They will report directly to the Plant Manager, with endless opportunity for growth and organizational influence.Responsibilities:• Coordinate demand forecasting and supply planning to maintain consistent product availability.• Track supply chain performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.• Negotiate with suppliers and source materials and services that meet quality standards at competitive costs.• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while assessing supplier performance.• Balance inventory levels to minimize shortages and avoid overstock situations.• Oversee timely and cost-efficient delivery of products to meet customer expectations.• Leverage data insights and key supply chain metrics to support informed decision-making.• Apply industry best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.• Develop, communicate, and execute departmental goals aligned with company strategy and growth plans.• Provide leadership to department staff by guiding performance, identifying training needs, and supporting professional development.Experience required:• A bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Supply Chain or Business is required.• Knowledge of supply chain best practices, including experience working with MRP systems.• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.• CPSM or CPIM certification is preferred.For further information, please reach out to claire.butcher@ or [email protected] Pacific International, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of who we are and what we do.
