LHH is partnering with a confidential client to recruit an Assistant Controller to support a growing, multi-entity organization with a highly operational accounting environment. This role will work closely with senior leadership to stabilize, clean up, and scale the accounting function while helping build processes that support continued growth.This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and has deep experience with intercompany and operational accounting.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Accounting & Month-End CloseLead the month-end close process, including accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliationsSupport accounting cleanup initiatives and improve close efficiency and accuracyEnsure financial reporting is compliant with GAAPIntercompany & Multi-Entity AccountingOwn a heavy intercompany accounting environmentincluding intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidationsEnsure vendor expenses and payments are properly allocated across legal entitiesMaintain accurate accounting across multiple operating and subsidiary entitiesAccounting OperationsOversee accounts payable (outsourced), payroll, and contractor/partner payoutsSupport equity-related accounting and reportingPerform accounting for a related tax or service entityAssist with cash management, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accuracyProcess Improvement & Internal ControlsBuild, document, and streamline accounting workflowsStrengthen internal controls and audit readinessIdentify inefficiencies and implement scalable, practical solutionsQualifications & Experience6+ years of experience within accounting with foundation of public accounting preferredStrong, hands-on month-end close experienceMulti-entity and intercompany accountingConsolidations and eliminationsGAAP and accrual accountingInternal controls and reconciliationsProven ability to clean up processes and build scalable accounting infrastructureComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving organizationCulture & Working StyleThis position is highly collaborative and visible within the organization.
