You'll design, build, and scale automation frameworks and help the team accelerate delivery by using AI coding assistants effectively"”writing better tests faster, debugging smarter, and raising overall test reliability.What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)Build and maintain end-to-end UI automation using Playwright + TypeScript (robust, maintainable suites; strong typing; Playwright best practices).Create and evolve scalable automation frameworks (Page Object Model, fixtures, utilities, reporters, reusable components).Develop and maintain automated API test suites for REST and GraphQL (request chaining, schema validation, auth flows, contract testing, CI execution).Support and/or migrate existing Cypress component/integration tests alongside Playwright as needed.Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and improve test execution reliability, reporting, and signal quality.Partner with developers/product/QA to define test strategy, improve coverage, and reduce escaped defects.Use AI tools daily to speed up test development, debugging, refactoring, and test data generation (details below).Required Skills & ExperienceMust-havePlaywright + TypeScript (Primary stack): strong hands-on experience building E2E suites with maintainable patterns.API automation: proven experience testing REST + GraphQL (auth, schema/contract validation, CI-driven runs).Framework creation: ability to architect from scratch (POM, fixture layers, utilities, reporting, pipeline integration).Cypress (working knowledge): able to maintain or migrate suites and understand best-fit use cases.AI Tooling & Prompting (Mandatory)You must actively use AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (not just aware of them):Uses tools such as Claude / GitHub Copilot / OpenAI Codex to accelerate coding and testing work.Demonstrates strong prompting skillswrites precise, context-rich prompts to generate tests, debug failures, refactor code, and create test data.Comfortable switching between AI tools depending on task fit and output quality.Critically evaluates AI output"”knows when to trust, refine, or discard suggestions.Nice-to-have (Strong Plus)CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOpsExperience with test reporting dashboards, flaky test triage, and stabilization approaches.Experience with contract testing, mocks, service virtualization, or performance/accessibility testing.Mentoring or leading testing best practices across teams.
