Our client is a general contractor, and they are looking for a Site Manager in Wilmington, CA. Union experience required.Great direct hire position.The Site Manager will be the key person supervising the day to day operations of the company's work at the refinery.Responsibilities:Safety:Lead weekly safety meetingAssure that all site staff have met their code of safe practices requirementsFrequently audit the jobAttend and participate in the SWAT meetingsAssure that Hazard Analysis' are being completed correctly and track each foreman's performance in this areaReview all job hazard analysis and SWAT cards and make corrective actions as requiredManage all accidents with the help of the Safety Tech to first address the employee's heath and second, avoid a recordable injuryHuman ResourcesCommunicate with HR on all dispatching and terminations per HR standard proceduresAssure that all regular routine maintenance and small project staff are evaluated yearly and in the event of a termination or disciplineOrganize the orientation and badging of all site personnelHandle all disciplinary actions for onsite staffEvaluate foreman yearlyCoordinate all random drug testsExecutionCommunicate with client contacts and assign workforce as needed to best execute the workMonitor the progress of the work and make corrections as necessaryAssure that the General Foremen are properly prepared to execute the workFrequently audit the job site for productivityClient RelationsVisit the client contacts regularly for input on performanceMaintain a proactive approach to problem solvingAggressively pursue solutions to areas in need of improvementAssure that all contractual obligations are being met and all goals are being exceededTools and ConsumablesAssure that the toolroom is being run efficientlyOrder tools and consumables per the client's maintenance contractTrack the purchase of tools and consumables and assure that they remain under the budget as set by the General ManagerAssure that Nomex are being issued properly and they are in good conditionProvide reports on tool, consumables and Nomex inventory to the General Manager on a monthly basisAssure that tools are inspected and maintained/discarded of as requiredCalloutsDevelop schedule for callout foremenAssign callout crews on a weekly basisAct as the primary contact for all calloutsPrepare callout book for callout foremanMaintain callout recordsVehiclesCoordinate company-owned vehicle usageSchedule all maintenance and address all repairsTrack fuel, maintenance and repairs for on-site vehiclesMaintain all insurance and registration records for company-owned vehicles and personal/rig welder vehicles that enter the refineryMaintain records of who is eligible to operate company-owned vehiclesBillingFill out all new job setup forms as requiredAssure that all timesheets are completed correctly on time and signed by the client within 24hWork with the home office to resolve billing discrepanciesAssure that all billing is done in accordance with the maintenance contractTrack all hours billed for budget purposes as defined by the General ManagerAssure that cash is collected in accordance with contract termsLeadershipDirect general foreman and assure that they are meeting the requirements as defined in the foreman job descriptionFacilitate recognition and reward program for routine maintenance and small project foremenQuality ControlAssure that all work is being performed in adherence to their Quality Control ManualFrequently audit completed jobs to assure complianceAssist and support quality control lead on all quality issuesAddress quality issues and take appropriate actions to eliminate future occurrencesTrainingMaintain training database for all onsite staffAssure that all onsite staff are trained for the job they are performing/equipment they are operatingDevelop career paths for all direct reportsFacilitate a cross-training program to assure a well-rounded workforce capable of performing any of our core maintenance functionsRequirements:Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical industryAnnual salary: $180000-$190000 based on experience.Apply now for immediate and confidential consideration!
