Lead Automation TechnicianLocation: Concord, NCEmployment Type: 12+ month contract (Brooksource Engineering Services)Pay Range: $45-50/hrShift: 3-2-2 rotating schedule, 12-hour shifts About the JobThe Lead Automation Technician supports automated equipment performance in the parenteral manufacturing area by providing first-line support to production and partnering on engineering initiatives, process improvements, and project implementation. The role requires expertise in manufacturing processes, commissioning/qualification/validation (CQV) requirements, and equipment-specific controls technologies. This position helps ensure equipment remains in a qualified, safe operating state and that maintenance work is effectively planned and coordinated (hands-on maintenance is not in the scope of this position).Key Responsibilities Promote safe operations by ensuring procedures and work practices reflect safety requirements.Execute work in compliance with cGMPs and applicable procedures.Improve equipment performance, quality, and reliability using performance data and effective maintenance planning.Coordinate repairs and projects with operations, engineering, maintenance, and vendors to minimize production impact.Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and/or lead equipment design improvements, procedures, engineering studies, and maintenance strategies.Troubleshoot automation and equipment issues to resolve production delays and transfer knowledge to operations and technical teams.Plan and execute small projects and changes to support process and equipment improvements.Minimum RequirementsAssociate's degree (or equivalent work experience)Preferred QualificationsExperience working safely in a participative, team-based environment; supports applicable health, safety, and environmental (HSE) goals and requirements.Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment; familiarity with parenteral manufacturing equipment and operations is a plus.Automation/controls experience (instrumentation, PLC, and/or HMI programming); Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View SE preferred; experience with B&R is a plus.Experience supporting highly automated equipment, including troubleshooting and coordinating vendors/contractors.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; able to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a customer-service mindset.Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; able to produce clear technical documentation.Experience with Maximo or a similar computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Additional Information:This role follows a 3-2-2 Shift Schedule.Brooksource provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.Benefits & Perks:Brooksource offers competitive medical, dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care FSA, and supplemental coverage with plans that can fit each employee's needs.
