Position SpecificationTitle: No Bake Foundry SuperintendentGeography: WaukeshaDepartment: Castalloy USResponsibilities:The Foundry Superintendent is responsible for:· Manage and control of all foundry activities at the site· Managing and developing supervisory staff· Manage budgets and forward plans for the site in conjunction with Norican requirements. · Developing and implement plans so as to meet agreed organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales. · Assist Human Resources in developing training programs for personnel.· Ensuring at all times safety awareness & knowledge to meet statutory and Castalloy/Norican standards.· Continue to cultivate a "5S" & LEAN culture within the organization· Championing the continuous improvement culture within the organization· Developing leadership principles & planning to reduce employee turnover and optimize talent.· Coordinating various personnel to optimize site performance from systems, design, and technical.· Ensuring the Company's ISO program is adhered to. KPI's:· Safety· Scrap reduction· On time delivery· Quality and Customer reject rates· Productivity, Contribution and Profit targets · GrowthPlace in Organization:· Global CastingsReporting lines & substitute:Reporting to Managing Director - CastalloyAuthorization:Per Schedule of Authority it is the Plant Manager of Castalloy responsibility as a company representative for all compliance activity (i.e., state and federal compliance under OSHA, EPA, WI Dept. of Natural Resources, City of Waukesha, etc.).Specific tasks:· Develop a culture of safety and environmental awareness at all levels.· Manage and control Manufacturing performance. (follow and maintain the schedule)· Develop continuous improvement programs· Succession planning, including managing talent pipeline· Plan training programs to ensure coverage of organizational competence gaps· The ability to review and recommend good casting gating and risering. · The ability to recognize good foundry practice.Personal Characteristics:· Is highly organized and has very effective time management skills· Encourage staff to put forward new ideas and vision.· Develop new visions and ideas and provide continuous process improvement.Should have relationship management and interpersonal skills with operational and leadership authority.Team builder with change management skillsInspirational with strong supervisory/managing skills.The ability to organize and prioritize the tasks at handStrong written and verbal communication skillsProfessional experience & background:Bachelor degree in an engineering or business discipline is preferred.Minimum 5 plus years of management experience in a Foundry setting.Computer literate with strong emphasis in process engineering, production planning and preventative maintenance.· Solid experience with foundry operational management or similar· No bake molding experience a plus· Steel foundry experience a plus.
