Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to support aerospace machining operations. This role is responsible for in-process and final inspection of precision machined parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.2nd Shift Key ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspection of machined aerospace partsUse precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, air gauges, radius gauges, etc.)Conduct basic to moderate surface plate layouts and setupsOperate CMM equipment (CMM experience required; CMM Manager preferred)Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, control plans, and customer specificationsDocument and process nonconforming material reports (NCRs)Communicate quality concerns and support root cause investigationsMaintain accurate inspection recordsSupport continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree or technical training preferredExperienceMinimum 2+ years of QA inspection experience with machined partsAerospace manufacturing experience preferredCMM experience preferredCMM programming experience a plusSkillsStrong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledgeAdvanced math skills (fractions, decimals, tolerances)Proficient with precision measuring instrumentsUnderstanding of nonconforming product processesBasic computer skills (Excel and ERP experience a plus)Strong written and verbal communication skillsPhysical & Work EnvironmentManufacturing shop environmentFrequent standing/walkingLift/push/pull up to 50 lbsExposure to noise, dust, machinery, and temperature variationsPPE required (hearing, eye, hand, and foot protection)Safety-sensitive positionCompliance RequirementsThis position requires compliance with ITAR regulations.
