Fire Alarm Designer

Topa Group has partnered with a Fire Protection Company in Austin, TX. We are seeking a Sr. Fire Alarm Designer to lead life safety projects for commercial and high-tech facilities in Austin. You will design code-compliant systems, manage the permitting process with local AHJs, and provide technical leadership from site survey to final inspection.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed layouts, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.Perform critical battery, voltage drop, and dB loss calculations.Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NEC, and local Texas fire codes.Coordinate with MEP trades and mentor junior design staff.Qualifications:5+ years of fire alarm design experience.NICET Level III or IV certification (preferred).Texas Fire Alarm Planning Superintendent (APS) license required.
