Officers assigned to this position will rotate through multiple security posts and duties throughout their shifts, providing access control, screening, patrol, and general site security support. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to enforce site policies while maintaining positive interactions with employees, visitors, and contractors. (Charlotte & Plymouth North Carolina openings are armed)Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPost Rotation & Access ControlStaff the main entry and exit points of the facility, controlling access to authorized personnel, visitors, and vendorsVerify identification, badges, and access permissions in accordance with site policiesMaintain visitor logs and ensure proper escort procedures are followed when requiredMonitor inbound and outbound traffic, including employee shift changes and deliveriesWeapons & Intellectual Property (IP) ScreeningConduct screening procedures to prevent the unauthorized introduction or removal of weapons, restricted items, or protected intellectual propertyEnforce company policies related to prohibited items and controlled materialsReport and document any violations, suspicious activity, or policy non-complianceRoving Patrol & Facility MonitoringConduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility interior and exteriorPerform door, gate, and access-point checks to ensure all secured areas remain locked and controlledMonitor for safety hazards, suspicious behavior, and unauthorized accessObserve and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns as neededSurveillance & Incident ResponseMonitor cameras, alarms, and security systems when assignedRespond promptly to incidents, alarms, or calls for service within the facilityDe-escalate situations professionally and in accordance with training and company policyPrepare clear, accurate incident and daily activity reportsGeneral Security ResponsibilitiesEnforce company rules, site-specific security procedures, and safety policiesMaintain a visible, professional presence while on duty and in uniformProvide customer-service-oriented support to employees and visitorsCoordinate with site management, supervisors, and emergency responders as requiredRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredValid NC Private Protective Services Board security officer registration/license, as applicableAbility to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periodsStrong observation, communication, and report-writing skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situationsReliable transportation and dependable attendancePreferred Experience & QualificationsMilitary and/or Law EnforcementPrior experience in security, manufacturing, industrial, or corporate environmentsFamiliarity with access control systems, surveillance systems, or screening proceduresBasic computer skills for reporting and log entryWork Environment & Physical RequirementsUnarmed, uniformed positionIndoor and outdoor work in a manufacturing or industrial settingRotating posts and duties throughout the shiftAbility to lift, carry, and move up to 25 lbs as neededSchedule2-2-3, 12-hour shiftsShifts may include days, nights, weekends and holidays requiredOvertime and flexible scheduling may be required based on operational needs.
