With new manufacturing tools recently installed, you will help ensure equipment is properly set up, maintained, and operating reliably"”while supporting flowcell production in a cleanroom environment.This is a contract position through an external agency, with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGProduction & Equipment Operations (Ëœ80%)Perform daily cleanroom manufacturing processes including wet processing, resist coating, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), mechanical assembly, and visual inspection using high-powered microscopes (brightfield/darkfield)Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain processing equipment such as servo presses, degassers, and wet bench systemsPerform preventive maintenance (PM) and resolve process and equipment issuesSupport Engineering and Development teams with testing and non-standard processingEnsure consistent product quality and stable production outputProcess Improvement & Team Support (Ëœ20%)Train and mentor technicians on production processes and equipment operationAssist in writing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)Help establish work standards and optimize production workflowsSupport yield tracking and reporting using Excel and SPC principlesLead and document continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen and A3 methodologyABOUT YOUYou take ownership of equipment and processes and thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environmentsYou are a strong problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systemsYou communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teamsYou value structure, accuracy, and consistency in your workYou proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact productionWHERE YOU WILL WORKOn-site in Sunnyvale, CaliforniaCleanroom environment requiring PPE (lab coat, gloves, hair net, face mask)Ability to lift up to 35 poundsWHAT YOU WILL BRING US5+ years of experience in MEMS, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturingStrong hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenanceExperience working with Servo press systems, Degassing systems, Wet bench processing equipmentCleanroom manufacturing experience (contamination control/GMP preferred)Proficiency with high-powered optical microscopes (brightfield/darkfield inspection)Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and SPC principlesIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, charting, basic analysis)Experience writing or improving production and equipment proceduresStrong documentation, organization, and communication skillsWHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKEAssociate's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field"”or equivalent hands-on experienceHOW WE WILL REWARD YOUThe base hourly rate for this contract position is $30.00 to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.This is a contract role employed through a staffing agency, with optional employee benefits available.Successful performance may lead to consideration for a full-time position with benefits.Equal OpportunityComplete Genomics provides equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, age, disability, veteran or uniformed service status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
