Summary/ObjectiveThe Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all maintenance, repair, and facility operations across company buildings. Their primary responsibility is a 240,000 square foot warehouse, corporate office and grounds (including corporate housing). This role serves as the organizational representative in facilities planning and new construction initiatives; ensures that projects and daily operations are completed efficiently, safely, and within regulatory requirements; manages annual budgets for maintenance, grounds, and custodial functions; and optimizes the utilization of personnel, equipment, and resources.Essential FunctionsCollaborates with internal departments and external partners to implement, support, and maintain facility programs and servicesCoordinates facility usage, maintenance schedules, and special event operational needsDevelops long- and short-term maintenance and facility plans, including emergency response proceduresDirects maintenance, construction, renovation, and preventive maintenance projectsConducts inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with regulationsMonitors budgets and financial activity for assigned programsParticipates in meetings, workshops, and seminars to support role performanceManages personnel functions including hiring, evaluation, supervision, and developmentCommunicates updates, reports, and compliance information to stakeholdersRecommends staffing actions to maintain an effective workforceResearches products, regulations, and codes to support purchasing and facility decisionsOversees janitorial services for offices and warehouse facilitiesOversees transportation needs for guests and employeesMaintains company vehicle fleetManages vendors for special projects and building servicesPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to perform complex technical tasks across building tradesSkilled in inspections, safety practices, hazardous material handling, and project managementBuilding/construction codes, maintenance practices, safety standards, and facility developmentOccupational hazards and safe work practicesTechnical reading, documentation, grammar, and communication standardsAbility to schedule numerous simultaneous activitiesFlexibility to work independently or collaborativelyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective leadership and team-building skillsStrong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlinesWorks independently under broad organizational guidelinesManages department operations, budgets, and staffingCollaborates with other departments for resource utilizationContributes significantly to service quality and operational performancePhysical requirements include lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and fine motor tasksExposure to minimal temperature variations and occasional riskRequired Education and ExperienceFive years of increasingly responsible experience in building maintenance, construction, and facility operationsRelevant job-related education required; industry certifications preferredAbility to perform basic computer related tasks, for example, Microsoft Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel
