Join us and be part of a team that's redefining what's possible in fluid technology.Production Supervisor OverviewThe Production Supervisor (2nd shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm) is within our Prestone division and isresponsible for ensuring production meets quality and efficiency standards while maintaining a safe work environment. This role is located at our Alsip, Illinois facility.Your Role at PrestoneOverseeing the production process, drafting a production schedule and ensuring that it is adhered to.Developing and implementing production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet production objectives.Monitoring production processes to ensure that they are operating safely and efficiently, and identifying areas for improvement.Coordinating and assigning tasks to production staff, and ensuring that all staff members receive appropriate training to perform routine duties effectively.Monitor production to resolve issues and ensure targets are metOversee training of new employees on production processes and equipment operationEnforce strict safety guidelines and company standardsCollaborate with other departments to optimize production processesRequired Experience and SkillsStrong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to effectively motivate and guide a teamExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and stay focused on task completionKnowledge of safety regulations and quality control standardsEffective planning and manning skills while paying attention to detailFamiliarity with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processesCompliance with customer specifications and safety proceduresAdhering to and following production schedules for efficient operationsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent GEDAssociate/Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not required5+ years manufacturing experienceProven experience working in a production environment with a minimum of 3 years as a production supervisorProven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar roleStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a teamExcellent problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of quality control principlesUnderstanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.Experience with integrated/computerized manufacturing systems. JDE SAP experience is preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft applications with a strong understanding of Excel.Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsThe production facility is within an indoor/outdoor, industrial environment and is not climate controlled. Must be able to perform some physical exertion as necessary.
