Concrete & Asphalt Superintendent (Restoration Division)Company: R&R Contracting Utilities Location: Maryland (DMV Region)Comp: $110K-$150K base + performance bonuses + truck + fuel + benefitsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Concrete & Asphalt Superintendent to lead and scale our growing restoration and small-project division. This role is responsible for daily field execution, crew performance, and job profitability across multiple active sites.This is not a sit-in-the-office role "” this is a production-driven leader who can run crews, solve problems in real time, and keep jobs moving fast and profitable.Core ResponsibilitiesField OperationsOversee multiple crews daily (concrete, asphalt, patching, restoration)Coordinate mobilization/remobilization across several jobs per dayEnsure all work meets specs, compaction, and finish quality standardsManage job sequencing, scheduling, and site logisticsProduction & ProfitabilityHit daily production targets (SF placed, tons installed, patches completed)Track labor hours vs. budgetIdentify and correct inefficiencies immediatelyDrive margin performance (target 15-25%+ gross)Crew LeadershipManage foremen and field crews (hire, train, discipline)Enforce accountability and productivity standardsMaintain strong team culture and safety mindsetClient & GC CoordinationCommunicate with GCs, inspectors, and project managersHandle field issues, inspections, and punch listsRepresent company professionally on-siteCompliance & SafetyEnforce OSHA standards and company safety policiesEnsure proper compaction, testing coordination, and documentationMaintain jobsite cleanliness and organizationRequirementsExperience7+ years in concrete and/or asphalt construction3+ years as a Superintendent or Senior ForemanStrong background in:Concrete placement & finishingAsphalt paving & patchingSubgrade prep & compactionSmall-job, high-volume operationsSkillsetAbility to manage multiple jobs simultaneouslyStrong understanding of production rates and job costingProven ability to run crews efficientlyComfortable with fast-paced, high-turnover work environmentsPreferredExperience with public works (WSSC, MDOT, DC Water)Knowledge of compaction testing & inspection processesExperience scaling or building a new divisionEEOC Statement R&R Contracting Utilities is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
