Join Us at Isuzu "” Moving the World, For YouIsuzu North America is seeking a driven and experienced Kitting Production Supervisor to help launch operation initiatives at our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina.As a global leader in medium-duty commercial trucks, Isuzu champions sustainability, innovation, and reliability across our internal combustion, electric, and alternative-fuel-powered vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact as we shape new processes and advance our mission of responsible mobility.About the Facility:Isuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to establish a new production facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. This 1 million-square-foot, state-of-the-art plant"”set on over 200 acres"”will feature a flexible production line capable of manufacturing both internal combustion and electric vehicles. Production will include the N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks. Operations are expected to launch in 2027, with expansion slated for 2028. Strategically located near I-85, I-26, and the Port of Charleston, the site supports streamlined logistics and consolidated operations under one roof. This initiative is projected to create over 700 new jobs in the area.Job Summary: The Production Kitting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing kitting activity and material flow preparation activities to ensure accurate, timely delivery of parts to the production line. This role supports uninterrupted assembly operations by managing kitting processes, inventory accuracy, and team performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.The position focuses on execution, coordination, and continuous improvement of material staging and line-side readiness while supporting production demands and maintaining operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily kitting operations to ensure all materials are picked, staged, and physically ready at the line to support productionEnsure kits are complete, accurate, and properly sequenced to match production requirements and prevent line disruptionsMonitor material availability and proactively address shortages before they impact the lineWork directly with external logistics, assembly, production control and production teams to resolve issues in real timeMaintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, system transactions, and disciplined material control processesInvestigate and correct inventory discrepancies to ensure system accuracy supports operationsEnsure proper material handling, labeling, and traceability to maintain quality and compliance standardsLead and support kitting associates on the floor, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity expectations are metManage employee time, attendance, and daily staffing to support production needsProvide coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action as needed to maintain team performanceBalance workload and adjust priorities based on production demand and changing conditionsEscalate issues quickly when material, quality, or delivery risks could impact productionSupport production start-ups, ramp-ups, and changes in demand or model mix to ensure material readinessIdentify and implement process improvements to reduce errors, improve flow, and increase efficiencyPromote and enforce 5S, standard work, and lean material handling practicesUse ERP/WMS systems (SAP preferred) to track inventory, material movement, and kitting statusMonitor key metrics such as kitting accuracy, shortages, and inventory accuracyProvide daily updates on material readiness and any risks to productionPerform other duties as needed to support production and operational goalsRequired Education, Knowledge and Abilities:High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferredMinimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, materials, or warehouse operationsExperience in kitting, material handling, or line-side support requiredPrior supervisory or team lead experience requiredExperience working in fast-paced production environmentsExperience with ERP or WMS systems (SAP preferred)Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong understanding of material flow, kitting processes, and inventory control practicesStrong leadership and communication skills to manage and develop team membersAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory systemsKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, standard work, Kaizen)Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong attention to detail and accuracy
