Winding Assembler

This company is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of Active U.S. Military experience The Military Division of Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for an on-site Winding Assembler in their new Charlotte NC manufacturing facility. This global organization is a pioneer in the design and production of technologically advanced equipment for energy & power systems. At least 1 year of hands-on experience assembling winding blocks for medium to large power transformers is required. As a Winding Assembler, you must be able to obtain and maintain Forklift License, a Critical Lift level crane license and certification for working in heights. Compensation: $34.74/hour + relocation package What You Will DoResponsible for the final finishing, assembly, inspection, and documentation of transformer winding blocks, working directly from technical drawings and manufacturing standards. Will support the training and development of new team members. Perform finishing and assembly of transformer winding blocksOperate overhead cranes, forklifts, and perform welding as requiredRead and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsValidate winding alignment within tolerances and perform detailed measurements and inspectionsPrepare winding blocks for drying and pressingSupport creation and maintenance of technical documentation for winding assembly processesReview and execute work according to production plans and manufacturing standardsTrain and mentor new hires as the department growsComply with all EHS, Quality, Cybersecurity, and operational policies Education and Work Experience: at least 4 years of Active Duty U.S. Military Leadership experience requiredMust have at least 1 year hands-on experience assembling winding blocks (medium to large power transformers)Strong math skills with the ability to perform complex measurementsAbility to read and interpret complex drawings and blueprintsAbility to pass KEYS certification (reading, writing, blueprint interpretation)Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift license, Critical lift crane certification and Certification for working at heights TitleWinding Assembler LocationCharlotte NC Client Job ID510784556
