Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Head Golf Coach for our Summer Camp program. This leadership role involves guiding and mentoring young campers in golf skills, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, experience in sports coaching, and the ability to engage children in a fun and educational manner. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on youth development during the summer months.ResponsibilitiesLead golf instruction sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levelsDevelop engaging lesson plans that incorporate fundamental golf techniques and safety protocolsFoster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growthManage camp activities related to golf, including organizing drills, games, and competitionsEnsure the safety of all participants by supervising activities and enforcing safety guidelinesCollaborate with camp staff to coordinate schedules and integrate golf activities with other camp programsProvide behavior management to maintain discipline and ensure a respectful environmentServe as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and good sportsmanship at all timesSkillsPrior experience in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or related fieldsExperience working with children and managing group behaviors effectivelyStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young campersKnowledge of golf fundamentals and the ability to teach basic skills to beginnersBackground in childcare or health club/gym environments is a plusExcellent communication skills to engage children, parents, and camp staffAbility to create fun, educational activities that promote physical activity and skill developmentCertifications such as lifeguard experience or child safety training are advantageous but not requiredThis role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development, sports education, and creating memorable summer experiences for children.
