Manufacturing Engineer

Overview We are a growing precision machine shop supporting the aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors. As we continue to expand under new ownership, we are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to bridge the gap between engineering and the shop floor.This is a highly technical, floor-focused role responsible for taking new parts from programming through full setup and proven production.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-efficiency, multi-channel programs using PartMaker for Star Swiss machinesOptimize synchronization and wait codes to maximize throughput and minimize cycle timeLead full setup and prove-out of new parts, including tooling, guide bushing alignment, and machine setupEnsure process stability, predictable tool life, and optimized cycle times prior to production handoffSelect and implement tooling and high-pressure coolant strategies for optimal performanceTroubleshoot machining issues including offsets, chatter, and process inconsistenciesSupport and mentor setup personnel as the on-the-floor technical expertQualificationsRequired:7+ years of CNC machining experience, including 3+ years in a Manufacturing Engineer roleStrong proficiency with PartMaker (Autodesk)Hands-on experience with Star Swiss machines (SR, SB, SV series)Experience setting up and programming Takisawa (Fanuc) and Haas (ST-series) lathesDeep understanding of Fanuc and Haas controlsAbility to read complex blueprints and hold tight tolerancesAbility to edit G-code and develop macros as neededPreferred:Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM)Background in training or mentoring shop personnelWhat We're Looking ForHands-on, detail-oriented problem solverStrong ownership mindset from programming through productionAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
