Meucci remains committed to empowering individuals and fostering inclusion through transformative initiatives.About the RoleMeucci is seeking an experienced senior leader to serve as Principal Investigator/Program Director for a large, multi-partner initiative focused on AI readiness, workforce capability, and applied technology adoption at a regional scale. Note that this opportunity is currently at the proposal phase.This role is designed for a leader who is comfortable operating across education, workforce development, employers, and public-serving institutions, and who brings credibility in managing complex, coordination-heavy efforts where success depends on alignment and execution rather than direct control.The PI will provide strategic and operational leadership, steward external partnerships, and guide program design, governance, and delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Principal Investigator for a major applied AI and workforce initiativeProvide overall leadership and accountability for program strategy, execution, and outcomesCoordinate across a diverse set of partners (e.g., workforce organizations, colleges, libraries, employers, and public entities)Lead program design, milestones, and implementation planningGuide governance structures, partner roles, and decision-making processesRepresent the initiative in senior-level external discussionsEnsure rigorous monitoring, learning, and continuous improvementIdeal Candidate ProfileWe are seeking candidates with demonstrated leadership experience. Strong candidates will bring some combination of:Prior experience as a PI, Co-PI, or senior program leader on complex initiativesAT LEAST 8-10 Years EXPERIENCE serving in a similar Program Leadership RoleBackground in workforce development, education-to-employment pathways, economic development, or technology adoptionExperience leading multi-institution, cross-sector consortiaComfort operating in public, quasi-public, nonprofit, or higher-education environmentsStrong judgment, credibility with institutional partners, and ability to lead without formal authorityExperience with AI, emerging technologies, or digital workforce initiatives is a MUST, but deep technical specialization is NOT required.The emphasis is on systems leadership and execution.Why This Role Is UniqueThis role offers the opportunity to:Shape a high-visibility, high-impact initiative at the intersection of AI and workforce readinessLead work that prioritizes practical outcomes and public value, not just theoryOperate with meaningful influence over program design and directionPartner with institutions across education, workforce, and community ecosystems
