Our employees are truly part of the Massoud family, and we take pride in fostering a supportive, stable, and collaborative work environment.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Gerber Automated Cutting Machine Operator to operate Gerber computerized fabric cutting systems for upholstery furniture production. The role focuses on accurate cutting of upholstery fabrics and materials according to Gerber markers and production requirements, while maintaining quality, efficiency, and material utilization standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor Gerber automated cutting machinesLoad, spread, and align upholstery fabrics, leather, or synthetic materials on the cutting tableLoad, verify, and run Gerber markers and cutting programsEnsure correct fabric orientation, grain direction, nap, and pattern matchingMonitor cutting quality and accuracy throughout production runsInspect cut pieces for defects, size accuracy, and completenessOptimize material utilization and reduce fabric wastePerform routine maintenance, blade changes, and basic troubleshootingRecord production output and report machine or material issuesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized cutting areaQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentProven experience operating Gerber automated cutting machinesKnowledge of upholstery fabrics, leather, and synthetic materialsAbility to read Gerber markers, cutting layouts, and work ordersStrong attention to detail and quality standardsUnderstanding of safety procedures related to automated cutting equipmentExperience in upholstery or soft furniture manufacturingFamiliarity with Gerber AccuMark or similar CAD/marker softwareKnowledge of fabric grain, stretch, nap, and pattern alignmentAbility to perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshootingPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for long periodsAbility to handle fabric rolls up to 75 pounds Comfortable working in a production environmentWork ScheduleMonday thru Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PMOvertime occasionallyBenefits401(k) with company matchingHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offStable, long-standing family-owned companySupportive and collaborative team culture
