Job Title: PCS I Cost AnalystDuration: 3-year Contract Location: Plainfield, IN Full time, hybrid, 2-3 days/week in officeThe Planet Group is seeking a Project Controls Specialist I that has had experience with project controls and worked with individuals of varying levels in various organizations and suppliers.Project Controls Specialist I Qualifications Required QualificationsGraduation from a two-year college or university - business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degreeDemonstrated to Working Knowledge with Project Management / Project Controls Concepts / Computer Applications such as Scheduling Software, Financial Tools, SpreadsheetsPreferred QualificationsGraduation from a four-year college or university -business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalentPMI or AACE certification (the following or equivalent are acceptable - PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP)Experience using software such as MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Access, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoftProject Controls Specialist I DescriptionWill work with a team of Project Controls Analysts and SchedulersWill work in partnership with a more experienced Project Controls AnalystPerform cost forecasting and reporting tasks for a portfolio of projects budgeted anywhere from $10K to $1M annual spend, comparing monthly actuals to the project baseline, identifying variancesWill require a working knowledge of ExcelMust have good problem-solving skills and good collaborative, communications skillsMust have a demonstrated knowledge of basic project controls principlesTypically, is assigned to "White" or "Green" projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix
