Power & Renewables Transactions Associate - HoustonA leading US law firm with a highly active and growing Energy practice is looking to add an associate (4-6 PQE) to its Houston team.This is a strong opportunity to join a well established platform advising on complex, high value transactions across the power and renewables space, working alongside senior attorneys on market leading deals.The role: You will play a key role in advising clients on:M&A transactions across power and renewable energy assetsJoint ventures and development arrangementsDrafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, JV agreements, and related documentationManaging due diligence processes and supporting transaction execution through to closeYou will be given direct exposure to clients and the opportunity to work within multi disciplinary teams across offices on sophisticated, high profile matters.What they are looking for:4-6 years' experience in transactional energy workStrong exposure to power and/or renewables M&A and joint venturesExcellent drafting and negotiation skillsHighly organised, with strong project management capabilityComfortable working in a fast paced, collaborative environmentRequirements:J.D. from an ABA accredited law schoolQualified and in good standing with the Texas Bar (or ability to become admitted promptly)
