Safety Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION Reno, Nevada $60 an hour (NO PER DIEM)- (40-60 hour work weeks) 12 month contract (plus extensions for a 3-4 yearlong project) Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesOnsite 5 days per week conducting site walks and hazard prevention activities.Performs frequent safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses.Acts as the technical safety advisor to management and ensures compliance with labor laws and safety regulations.Leads incident investigations, reporting, and development of corrective actions.Tracks safety trends and communicates findings to leadership.Maintains all required safety records and documentation.Schedules, facilitates, and tracks safety training for compliance.Supports environmental protection compliance and interfaces with regulatory agencies as needed.Coaches and mentors management to build a proactive safety culture.Oversees subcontractor safety programs, safety coordinators, case management, OCIP/CCIP claims, and high-risk activity planning.Handles safety administration, craft training, and work coordination.Takes on additional responsibilities as assigned by executives.
