Logistics Coordinator

Location: Dallas, TX or Chicago, ILAbout the RoleOur customer, a well-known logistics company, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team in either Dallas or Chicago. This role is responsible for delivering competitive pricing, exceptional customer service, and efficient operational support for domestic and cross-border surface transportation across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.The ideal candidate will act as a key resource for both internal teams and customers, ensuring seamless transportation solutions while supporting pricing, procurement, and day-to-day logistics operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage the end-to-end movement of assigned shipments, including booking cost-effective transportation, tracking shipments, and providing timely status updatesEnsure accurate and timely shipment closure, rating, and documentationProvide competitive pricing and quotes to customers and internal sales teamsSupport cross-border logistics operations between the U.S., Mexico, and CanadaAssist with new customer projects and ensure high levels of customer satisfactionGenerate and support weekly and monthly reporting, including month-end billing activitiesProvide backup support to team members during peak periods, vacations, or absencesCollaborate with internal teams to meet departmental and organizational goalsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standardsQualificationsRequired:5+ years of experience in logistics and domestic transportation operationsStrong knowledge of surface transportation and cross-border logisticsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Excellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksPreferred:Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)Familiarity with Excel and Oracle systems3-4 years of hands-on experience using TMS platformsWhat's OfferedComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageFlexible spending and health savings accountsLife insurance, disability coverage, and AD&D benefitsPaid time off and company holidays401(k) retirement plan with employer matchStudent loan assistance and tuition reimbursement programsWellness day and voluntary benefit options
