The RoleThe Production Director leads end-to-end production strategy and execution, ensuring each collection is delivered on time, within margin, and to the highest quality standards. This role partners cross-functionally with design, technical, logistics, and warehouse teams while maintaining strong vendor relationships and operational oversight across all stages of production.What You'll DoProduct Development & CostingReview all samples and create detailed costing sheets for every collectionReview mini markers to ensure accurate yields and material consumptionReview samples, trims, and mockups for bulk approvals, ensuring alignment with design intent and production standardsProduce videos for each style, reviewing construction details to support costing and internal alignmentAssist the technical team with specs and garment construction as neededSupport follow-up on PP (Pre-Production) and TOP (Top of Production) status for all stylesProduction Planning & ExecutionPrepare for and lead line reviews, driving production readiness and issue resolutionCreate and issue purchase orders for bulk productionDevelop size breakdowns and packing instructions for all stylesCreate allocation boards by delivery to support distribution planningSolve daily manufacturing issues related to fabric, trims, sewing, and delivery timelinesVendor Management & CommunicationNegotiate CMT prices with factories to meet margin targetsConduct regular calls with factories for touch-base meetings and production follow-upsSet up video calls with new vendors and manufacturers for initial introductions and onboardingQuality ControlReview and manage QC team inspection schedulesReview and provide comments on in-line and final inspection reportsSchedule QC inspections with SGS for vendors outside of ChinaLogistics, Compliance & ImportsNegotiate freight quotations and create consolidation schedules for shipmentsReview and approve commercial invoices (C/INV) and packing lists; assign HTS codes and assist pricingMaintain and update the HTS code list to ensure accuracy and complianceReview and approve AWB and 7501 entry formsReview and approve shipping for Hong Kong international units (pick & pack)Track packages to ensure timely delivery and manage duty processingIssue Letters of Credit against purchase orders as neededSystems & Inventory ManagementEnter received merchandise into AIMSMaintain and update all styles in AIMS throughout and post-productionUpload all new collection styles into the RFID portalGenerate UPC codes and print replacement hang tag UPC stickers for the warehouseOrder RFID stickers and hangers as neededCreate and maintain internal and external WIP (Work-In-Progress) chartsFinancial OversightProcess all invoices related to bulk productionCalculate and track final margins to ensure profitability targets are metWho You AreA highly organized and solutions-driven production leader with a deep understanding of the full product lifecycle. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities across development, production, and logistics without compromising on quality or timelines. With a sharp eye for detail and a hands-on approach, you confidently manage vendors, lead cross-functional communication, and drive projects from concept through final delivery.Nice to Have Experience working within contemporary or luxury fashion environments, with a strong understanding of global manufacturing and supply chain operations. Familiarity with systems such as AIMS, RFID platforms, and import/export processes"”including HTS classification and freight coordination"”is a plus.
